Snmpget timeout

I'm trying to run the application snmpdemoapp from the ucd-snmp-4.2.6
tutorial off the daemon ustMain. However, I'm receiving an snmpget:
Timeout. Another interesting thing is that I seem to always be able to
establish a session regardless of whether the daemon agent is running or
not; that is, I never receive the error msg you get when you cannot open up
a session. Would the problem be because I do not have the mib code
ustMain.c and ustMain.h in my agent/mibgroup directory and I have not
configured/built ucd-snmp using these mibs.

Thanks,
-Steve

Sounds like the demon is either not up (crashes?) or that its not
been properly configured to accept communication from the
user/community/whatever that you're using.
